  Water station at visarjan procession Tata Consulting Engineers   |   Pune
 
30 volunteers provided water free of cost to the participants and the spectators at the Ganesh visarjan procession. The activity prevented more than 250 plastic bottles from reaching the garbage bins. The activity benefitted the people as well as the environment.
 
  Gift a meal Trent Hypermarket   |   Mumbai
 
The employees of Star Bazaar, Mumbai (Shreeji and Hubtown Solaris Store) organized a meal distribution for 180 children at Ankur Ashram. The employees utilized this opportunity to interact and spend quality time with children.
 
  Beach cleaning drive Tata Consulting Engineers   |   Mumbai
 
Tata Consulting Engineers organized a cleanliness drive on Juhu Beach in Mumbai. Post Ganapati visarjan, the beach is sprawled with waste materials abandoned after the celebrations and the washed up fragments of the immersed idols add to the sorry sight. 26 TCE employees and employee family gathered to clean the beach and put in great efforts to unearth and respectfully dispose of the idol fragments.

Tata Technologies volunteers joined Tata Motors’ volunteers during the Ganesh visarjan day to help manage the traffic during the procession.
 
  Session on importance of teachers day Tata Metaliks   |   Kharagpur
 
A session was organised on importance and relevance of teachers day in Gokulpur Vidhan Chandra Vidhya Bhawan where 125 student participated and 6 employees spoke on the occasion and shared their experience. The students too spoke about Dr. Radhakrishanan and presented a skit on the theme.
 
  Plantation drive Rallis India   |   Lote
 
A group of volunteers from Rallis India, Lote Unit arranged a tree plantation drive in Lote MIDC Industrial belt. They planted various types of trees like coconut, cashew, chikku, raintree, gulmohar and neem with a purpose to increase the green belt area in the Industrial belt.
 
  Women's health awareness program The Tinplate Company of India   |   Jamshedpur
 
A women’s health awareness program was organized at no.10 Basti. Basic health problems of ladies normally overlooked in the day to day activities were discussed and suggested remedies how to handle them. Prevention is the better than cure was the 'hallmark' of the training program. Staff of Tinplate C.D Centre along with employees of TCIL voluntarily engaged in the program to make the participants understand all the suggestions made by the Doctor.
 
  Plantation drive Tata Technologies   |   Pune
 
Tata Technologies conducted a tree plantation drive where their volunteers planted 400 plants on the forest land near Pune city.
 
  Handwash awareness campaign Tata Power   |   Mundra
 
The volunteers from Coastal Gujarat Power Limited (CGPL-Tata Power) in association with the school authority organised "Handwash Awareness Campaign" in Nanikhakar primary school. The students were given a lecture on importance of handwash and given live demo on importance of handwash in everyday life. The school children also took the pledge to maintain this practice and inculcate the habit in their daily life.

Volunteers visited a camp school which have 100 first generation learHi ners. They conducted various activities including quiz, song, poetry recitation, etc. which saw enthusiastic participation from the children.
 
  Linen donation drive Gigner Hotels   |   Pantnagar
 
T12 Volunteers from Ginger-Pantnagar visited a centre for physically disadvantaged to interact with the residents. They also donated linen cloths to them.
 
  Road safety awareness Ginger Hotels   |   Mysore
 
Volunteers from Team Ginger Mysore interacted with the Circle Inspector and Inspector at the traffic police station Mysore to understand the traffic rules and regulations. Post this, the volunteers visited many schools at Mysore and met with the school auto/van drivers. Volunteers educated the drivers about the rules & regulations for taking more than the prescribed number of students.
 
  Drawing competition Rallis India   |   Lote
 
A group of six volunteers from Rallis India Lote Unit visited Nutan Vidyalaya, Lote and conducted a drawing and colouring competition for the students on the theme of clean environment. The students enjoyed the activity thoroughly.
 
  Road safety awareness Ginger Hotels   |   Vapi
 
Ginger Vapi organized a traffic awareness campaign where the volunteers reached out to the common public and explained about the importance of road safety. All the volunteers spent an hour each and covered an area of 1000 Meters. 12 Volunteers participant in this campaign.
 
  Visit to a NGO Tata Motors   |   Pune
 
Team of 80 volunteers from Tata Motors Pimpri - E-Block (press & Frame) factory visited the Punaruthan Samarasata Gurukul in Chinchwadgaon. The team donated grocery and daily use items to the Gurukul. A tree plantation drive was also carried out in the premises. More than 20 Saplings were planted in the surrounding area.
 
  Interaction with students Tata Steel   |   West Bokaro
 
Absenteeism of students in the school is a very common issue. On the occasion of Tata Volunteering Week RCMS union officials from Tata Steel had taken a session with the students of class 9th and 10th of St. Peter School, Ghatotand. They motivated students to be regular in the class and enjoy studying as we enjoy sports.
 
  Road safety awareness Ginger Hotels   |   Ahmedabad
 
Volunteers from Ginger Hotels Ahmedabad conducted a road safety awareness drive where they engaged the passers-by and motorists on the importance of proper road behaviour.
 
  Nirmalya collection drive Tata Technologies   |   Pune
 
Tata Technologies employees collected nirmalya, plastic and paper bags from the river bank and devotees during the Ganesh visarjan procession to avoid it from going into the water bodies and disposed it properly.
 
  Drive to control alien weed Tata Chemicals   |   Mithapur
 
The Mithapur coastal area plays host to two endangered fauna species - green sea turtles who have been nesting there regularly and the Macqueen's Bustard which is a winter visitor. TCL employee volunteers, family members and retired employees initiated a drive to check and remove the spread of an invasive alien weed (Prosopis juliflora) which has been fouling with the habitats of the endangered species.

Pellet Plant department from Tata Steel visited a primary school to interact with the children followed by birthday celebrations of the month.
 
  Operation Smile Tata Sons and TACO   |   Beijing
 
Nanjing Tata AutoComp and Tata Sons Beijing office jointly participated in Operation Smile for cleft lip and palate in Dushan, Guizhou Province. 4 Operation Smile volunteers participated for patient guidance, medical records management, child life specialist assistant and patient escort work. Their working time was over 12 hours everyday where they tried their best to help the patients.
 
  Visit to a school Tata Consulting Engineers   |   Bangalore
 
Volunteers of Tata Consulting Engineers, Bangalore visited Asha School for Differently Abled Children. The children were very excited and volunteers enjoyed spending quality time with them and shared snacks together.
 
  Session on health awareness Tata Steel   |   Tarapur
 
Team from Tata Steel, Tarapur and TMRCT Thunga Hospital organized an health awareness session at M.K Jr. College.
 
  Visit to the big barn farm Tata Global Beverages   |   Bangalore
 
The children were assured to have a fun-filled day where they explored their surroundings and interacted with a lot of farm animals. At the farm, volunteers were partnered with a student. Their main goal was to be their buddy for the entire day. Volunteers helped students to walk, eat and use the washroom. Many of these students were nonverbal with low cognitive abilities so volunteers helped them to explain their surroundings and assisted to do interaction with the environment. The farm encouraged children to pet the animals and plant saplings.

Tata Technologies employees collected Ganesh idols during the Ganesh Visarjan procession to avoid immersion into public water bodies.
 
  Beach cleaning drive Tata Motors   |   Mumbai
 
After the Ganpati visarjan, the beaches were in a sorry state and needed immediate attention. Tata Motors volunteers conducted a beach cleaning activity at Mahim beach and managed to pull out large amount of plastic and other waste items which was then picked up by the municipal garbage truck for disposal.
