  Interaction session with kids Tata Steel   |   CRC West, Tarapur
 
Team of six officers from CRC-West visited the Z.P. School, Delwadi to conduct an awareness session on basic health and hygiene, followed by a drawing competition on the theme of Swatch Bharat. Prizes and snacks were distributed to the children. The team did this as part of the ongoing campaign "Swachhata Hi Seva 2019" campaign.
 
  Cleanliness drive Rallis India   |   Ankleshwar
 
AVolunteers from Rallis India Limited, Ankleshwar unit organised a cleanliness program at Juna borbatha beth village. Volunteers organised this program with help of primary school teachers, students and villagers. They collected wastage, plastic bottles and carry bags from near the riverside, a total of 250 Kgs of plastic waste was collected.

A team of volunteers interacted with the community based boys and girls of U-10 football team at Kakudih Village. They shared their personal journey with them and also distributed menstrupedia comic books to the girls.

14 Tata Motors volunteers conducted a craft activity with the children at the Ahura-Andheri office along with the help of their Ngo partner - TANDA. Children enjoyed this activity and interacted well with the employees.
 
  Waste is Best competition Rallis India   |   Dahej
 
Volunteers from Rallis India Limited, Dahej Unit organized a waste is best competition on the theme of plastic recycling. 27 models of waste plastic was made by the students. Volunteers selected the best models based on how many plastic items were used in the models.
 
  Visit to an orphanage Tata Motors   |   Pune
 
A team of 45 volunteers from Tata Motors Pimpri visited "SAMPARC Balgram Bhaje", a mother home for orphaned girl children. The team interacted with the children and spent quality time. They also donated clothes, necessary items and distributed snacks to all children.

Volunteers of Rallis India Limited, Dahej Unit arranged a self defense program for 9th to 12th std girls. 360 girls participated in the one day program.
 
  Plantation drive Tata Consulting Engineers   |   Jamshedpur
 
A fruit tree plantation drive was organised at BPM School Burmamines, Jamshedpur for the students to create awareness and spread the message of saving our planet. TCE volunteers brought different types of fruit saplings viz. Mango, Guava, Litchi, Gooseberry, Jamun and planted them in the campus. The importance of trees in contributing to the environment by providing oxygen improving air quality, conserving water, preserving soil, supporting wild life and providing shelter, medicine and tools was explained to students on the occasion.
 
  Visit to a juvenile Home Tata Advanced Systems   |   Hyderabad
 
The volunteers conducted a motivational session for the children on good habits, cleanliness- Swatchata Hi Seva campaign and motivation. They also conducted a painting competition for girls, volley ball & kabaddi matches for boys along with employees. Prizes were distributed to the winners and participants.
 
  Plantation drive Tata Consulting Engineers   |   Mumbai
 
33 volunteers from TCE participated in the tree plantation activity in one of the schools located In Thane. 18 fruit bearing trees have been planted in the school premises. The material for the safety of the trees have been provided by TCE volunteers . The saplings of custard apple, Guava and sapodilla have been planted by TCE volunteers. Volunteers conducted an awareness session on importance of trees along with the tree plantation activity. The volunteers had worked in the group for planting the saplings with students. At the end of the session, chocolates had been distributed by the volunteers to the school kids.

Tata Motors Thane conducted a blood donation drive along with the Triumph blood bank. The blood donated will be used for Thalassemia children who require regular blood transfusion. 28 employees participated for this noble cause.

Volunteers conducted a session on personality development, career counselling and road safety for the students of Zilla Parishad High School, Nadergul and Vivekananda Public School.

Volunteers visited the Govt. primary school, Bhurarani to create awareness on safety and self-defence. A trainer from their division trained the kids to defend and safeguard themselves.
 
  Safety Training The Tinplate Company of India   |   Jamshedpur
 
A safety and fire-fighting session was organized by the Security Department of TCIL for the students of Tinplate Muslim Middle School. Mr. L.N Pathak and Mr. Jamshed along with the other employees from Security dept. of TCIL conducted the session on how to remain safe and secure, both at school and home. The Program was attended by 70 students along with the teachers.
 
  Sports Day Celebration Tata Consulting Engineers   |   Noida
 
Over 19 volunteers of Tata Consulting Engineers, Noida participated in the "Fitness Session and Sports Day Celebration" with under-privileged children at B- Block market sector 62, Noida. More than 70 children were part of the activity and were taught to do exercises and games like kho-kho, lemon on spoon race, passing the parcel, cricket etc. were played with children.

IIT Gandhinagar team along with their client and contractor conducted an awareness session to site workers about importance cleanliness at site and workers’ colony during monsoon. More than 150 labour participated and 15 engineers and supervisor of contractor staff attended this session.

Volunteers of CGPL conducted a plastic awareness session for the students, they were told about the types of pollutions plastic can create in the ecosystem. They also reiterated the use of cloth bags in the community.

Tata Metaliks Limitd arranged a dental check-up camp for the local communities to create awareness about dental and oral care. This program aimed to bring a change in behaviour of the community and start taking preventive measures to avoid dental problems.

A group of 10 women volunteers conducted a workshop on women's safety at the Vidya Shakti Niyas Training Hall, Bileipada. Around 11 PLC & PMC lady teachers attended the program. The importance of all time vigil on personal safety, defensive manoeuvres were illustrated with help of volunteers. Safe mobile phone usage while in the street was also discussed.
 
  Health check-up camp Tata Consulting Engineers   |   Mumbai
 
Volunteers from Tata Consulting Engineers, Mumbai with the help of PEHL organized a health check-up camp for the villagers in Malghar and Navapada of Jawhar Taluka of Palghar District. Over 245 villagers were examined by a set of 4 doctors and proper medicines were given to the villagers as per doctor's prescription.

A group of 11 volunteers visited the remote village of Nunguthani and distributed clothes among the poor and destitute. Around 100 inhabitants of the village benefited from the program.

The employees of Star Bazaar, Pune organized a visit to Sarva Seva Sangh, an orphanage for children. The employees organized activities like cleaning the building and sprucing the garden. They also distributed snacks and stationary among the children.

74 passionate volunteers from Tata Communications Pune office participated in this unique activity. Provided with very limited capital of INR 1200; 6 teams managed to barter the educational goods worth INR 110,000. The collected material is donated to underprivileged schools, orphanages and shelter homes in Pune.

Dr Garudkar Vasundhara Abhiyan is working for biodiversity conservation and restoration of Baner hill since 2006. 118 volunteers from Tata Communications Pune office joined hands with Pune based NGO Parisar to rejuvenate the Baner hill through use of mulching, trench digging, clean-up of hill etc.

In an increasingly digital world, online security threats are not only limited to large corporations but to anyone who browses the internet. One of the most vulnerable group is young children. This DRIVE Week 37 volunteers form Tata Communications took sessions for 40 young school students from the Government School in Chennai on how to be safe while using the internet.

A group of 7 volunteers conducted an awareness session on safe and responsible usage of mobile phones at the Jeet Fly Ash brick making unit. The aspects of personal safety while using phones at work, while driving or traveling was discussed.

A convocation program was organized by the employees of TCIL for the CHP trainees of Tinplate Hospital. These trainees come from rural areas of Jharkhand and are enrolled as semi nursing staff at Tinplate Hospital.

A blood donation camp was organized for the employees of TCIL. Around 100 units of blood weas collected from the donors. Every donor was given a gift as a token of appreciation by Tinplate Company.

Rallis volunteers along with our science intervention consultant arranged a science project intervention session at SKV School, Gunde. In the session, they discussed about the atmospheric pressure, separation method and oxygen content in air. Also demonstrated few experiments for the knowledge of students. Total 34 students were participated in the session.

Volunteers from Tata Motors Pimpri, Pune volunteered during the Ganapati Festival for traffic controlling on visarjan ghat. The team assisted the traffic police to control the crowd. Total 487 volunteers participated in this activity on different days.

Over 400 employees and their family members volunteered to clean up the Kalakhadak and Phulenagar slum areas and encouraged the communities not use single use plastic. The communities also joined in the efforts. A group of volunteers took awareness session for the children on the concept of Reduce-Reuse-Recycle.

A team of 65 volunteers visited "Samparc Balgram, Bhaje Village, Malavli", which provides rehabilitation, care and education for orphan children. The team spent quality time with the school children and presented the organisation with grocery, storage bins, cookers and eatables followed by a tree plantation programme.

To mark 150th birth Anniversary of Gandhi ji, this year Tata Power DDL organized Swachhata hi Sewa Campaign on 21st & 22nd September across 12 operational districts in North Delhi namely Shakti Nagar, Model town, Civil Lines, Mangolpuri, Keshavpuram, Pitampura, Moti Nagar, Rohini, Shalimar bagh, Badli, Narela & Bawana. The campaign aimed to create sensitization on reduction of plastic waste and in reference to this, cleanliness drives was organized at various locations. The drive witnessed the huge participation of employees, WLC & ABHA women, vocational training beneficiaries & mobile dispensary team. The activities conducted also included Best out of Waste, Session on Climate Change, Session on Waste management, among others.

A team from Vivanta Guwahati carried with them a variety of surprises, in the form of a Carrom board, Ludo board games etc for the aged people staying in Aarogya Kavach. There was a lovely exchange between the volunteers and residents, wherein the residents opened up their reasons for being in an old age home and the difficulties they faced living in an old age home.

Tata Power DDL organized a cleanliness drive cum awareness rally at Rohini, Civil Lines and Keshav Puram. The activities aimed to create sensitization on reduction of plastic waste and in reference to this cleanliness drive cum awareness rally were organized at various locations. The employees collected waste from the streets and generated awareness through rally.

Volunteers from Team Ginger Mysore visited few areas at Mysore & met street food vendors and inquired about the hygiene measures taken while cooking. They given the information about food safety and hygiene practices like not to keep disposing garbage in open lid bins, use hand gloves while serving the food, washing hands before and after handling raw or cooked food, to keep short clean nails and not to keep washing utensils in open.

The volunteers from Coastal Gujarat Power Limited ( CGPL- Tata Power) in association with expert health agency named " Bhojay Saravodaya Trust- BST" initiated "Netra Raksha Abihyan" on a massive scale. 4 mega camps were organised in 4 villages in presence of specialized doctors from " Bhojay Saravodaya Trust- BST". During the event, the free consultation on eye care, free medicine and referral services were provided. After the proper eye check up camp, the specific beneficiaries are intimated for the special camp for cataract operation which is also free of cost.

Volunteers identified that people of Juggi Jhopdi community do not have winter clothes. Volunteers have distributed full sleeves T-Shirts among the beneficiaries of Juggi Jhopdi Community at vocational training centre. Volunteers have spent time with beneficiaries to know more about their lifestyle.

Volunteers from Rallis India Limited Dahej unit arranged a speech competition for 6th to 8th std students from Luwara primary school. This activity was arranged for spreading awareness on tree conservation. 28 students participated in this activity. The selected best three students were awarded prizes.

Volunteers identified that people residing at Nirmal Hriday, have shortage of food items. Volunteers distributed food items (Pulses, wheat, rice etc.) among the beneficiaries of Nirmal Hriday. Volunteers also spent time with beneficiaries to know more about their lifestyle.

A free eye screening camp for all the people of nearby Nakachari village area, in collaboration with a team from the Lions Eye Hospital, was conducted, which was attended by over more than 150 people for eye screening & check-up, out of which 22 cataract eye patients were identified and have been taken to the Lions eye hospital, Jorhat for further treatment.

Volunteers of Tata Power-DDL's Safety Department conducted sessions on safety at Timarpur, Shahbad dairy, Jahangirpuri, CSA colony, Badli & Rohini Vocational Training Centres. Volunteers sensitized the beneficiaries on importance of safety in the life & measures that should be taken always to keep ourselves safe in various situations. The session was attended by beneficiaries with full attention and were engaged throughout. A quiz was also organized and the winners of the same were felicitated with gifts by the volunteers.

Volunteers of Tata Power-DDL's Social Innovation Group went across the communities to sensitize people on ways to have healthy body. The volunteers discussed importance of maintaining hygiene in the community & respective homes. They also spoke about consulting doctors timely rather avoiding or ignoring the symptoms. The volunteers sensitized the community on ways to safeguard self from dengue.

Blinds see the world as dark but not their hope, future and aspirations. Madhya Pradesh Drashtihin Kalyan Sangh operated Girls Blind school in Dewas is one such institute which provide wings to girls who are visually impaired but are very talented. During the Volunteering week, 11 volunteers of Tata International, Dewas visited girls blind school for tree plantation and health check-up camp.

The volunteers undertook the boundary wall painting, playground jungle jimming and speech on cultural matters to the Class 10 students at Borigaon High School, which comprises of 605 students and 30 Teachers from both the Assamese and the Bodo Medium sections, enrolled in this school. A total of 23 volunteers from Hattigor participated in the activity, comprising of the Management Staff, ACMS (Worker Union) officials, school teachers and few local people from the village.

The purpose of organizing the session is to create awareness among ABHA about the benefits of the social security schemes so that they can further spread this information to their respective community.

The Estate organized a "Swachh Abhiyan" and white washing of Bamuni Weekly Market building at Bamunigaon. There were 47 volunteers comprising of Management staff, Estate employees, Workers, ATTSA and local residents of Bamunigoan who participated in this activity. The above initiative has been well appreciated by the local population in and around the locality.
