Drawing Competition Tata Steel Long Products      Volunteers from Tata Steel Long Products organised a Drawing Competition on the topic ‘Go Corona Go' for the students up till Upper Primary Schools. Students actively participated in the competition and drawing kits were also provided to them.     Session on organic farming Tata Steel Long Products      A practical training session on organic farming was conducted by Mr. Jay Mangal from Tata Steel Long Products. Participants learnt about organic preparation of fertilizer, homemade compost for kitchen and roof-top gardening.     Child Rights and Education Session Tata Steel Long Products      In association with District Child Protection Society, Govt. of Jharkhand, an online sensitization program was conducted for two hours on various sections of Child rights such as their entitlements, protection, mainstreaming, provisions of justice etc. Mr. Kishor Tar, Senior General Manager and Mr. Santosh Kumar Thakur, District Child Protection Officer, Seraikala conducted this session and participants were glad to receive interesting insights from the session.     Usage of Farm Implements Tata Steel Long Products      Volunteers from Tata Steel Long Products organised a demo of farm implements and tools for farmers in Kuchidih village. Demo of farm implements included power tillers, chainsaws, bush cutters and earth augers.     Financial Literacy and Bookkeeping Tata Steel Long Products      A workshop on financial aspects and bookkeeping for migrant entrepreneurs was conducted by Ms. Jyoti Kumar, Officer F&A from Tata Steel Long Products. The beneficiaries were oriented about the basics of saving, profit & loss account, investment, growth of the business, ethical business practises, govt. regulations & taxes, etc.     Training on fast moving consumer goods Tata Steel Long Products      Volunteers from Tata Steel Utilities and Infrastructure Services Ltd organised COVID-19 prevention session for students of Jamshedpur High School. In this session, volunteers displayed precautionary measures that should be undertaken to protect against the pandemic. Volunteers also showed how to make homemade sanitizers, how should we use mask and dispose the mask at regular intervals. Teachers also clarified the doubts posed by the students.     Significance of Plantation Session Tata Steel Long Products      An online sensitisation session for the community around Tata Steel Long Products was conducted in partnership with the department of safety, health & environment. Participants were told about significance and positive impacts of plantation on environment. Apart from benefits of plantation, volunteers discussed about various varieties of plantation.     Group Business Session Tata Steel Long Products      Volunteers from Tata Steel Long Products conducted a session with Chhota Gamharia SHG members group business units. Volunteers encouraged the SHS members to start group business units.     Health and Nutrition Session Tata Steel Long Products      An online session was organised by Tata Steel Long Products for girl children on their common health problems by Dr.Rupali. Many queries were solved by the doctor and benefitted the participants.     Supporting poor people during COVID-19 Tata Steel Long Products      Volunteers from Tata Steel Long Products supported a few destitute in Jhurkuli village during the pandemic with grocery items among the villagers.     Best out of Waste Competition Rallis India      Volunteers from Rallis India, Ankleshwar unit organised Best from Waste competition for special children from Shaishav divyang children’s school. Students enthusiastically participated in this session.     Session on Aarogya Setu App Voltas      Volunteers from Voltas organised an educational workshop on aarogya setu app for a group of NGO workers who work on field daily for COVID-19 relief work and are more prone to the pandemic.     Session on MS Word Voltas      A session on MS word for the group of NGO coordinators and tutors was organised by Voltas team. The session helped to improve their proficiency to use MS Word.     Donation to Physically Disable Indian Hotels      Ginger Hotel, Pantnagar team volunteered to donate food and linen to the physically disabled individuals.     Mask Making Activity Tata Consulting Engineers      Due to the current pandemic, masks have become an indispensable part of our daily lives. While many are fortunate enough to purchase a mask there are people who cannot afford to buy one thereby using alternatives which are proven to be unsafe. The objective of the mask making activity was to teach the employees of TCE how to make a reusable two-layer cotton mask so that they can distribute these masks in their neighbourhood to the beneficiaries. A video along with a specification of the materials required was shared with employees. 122 Volunteers participated and enjoyed making masks.     Visit to Old Age Home Tata Power      On the occasion TVW 14, Tata Power employees visited an Old Age Home located in the remote area of Alibag Taluka, District Raigad. Volunteers interacted with the residents and also distributed around 450 kg food grains, essentials such masks and sanitizer and other materials. 15 employees participated.     Online Poster Campaign Tata Power      Tata Power organised an online poster campaign to spread awareness on COVID-19 relief package announced by the government. Employees made posters on key features of government, social welfare schemes and circulated among social media, SHG Groups to spread awareness among different community members.     Growing Micro Greens Session Tata Consulting Engineers      Poshan Abhiyaan, a multi-ministerial convergence mission to ensure attainment of malnutrition-free India by 2022. Its aim is to ensure holistic development and adequate nutrition for pregnant women, mothers and children. Volunteers from Tata Consulting engineers demonstrated about growing micro greens which are rich in several nutrients and can be easily grown from the available resources. Session was organised for the caregivers and teachers of differently abled students.     Awareness Session on COVID-19 and Safety Rules Voltas      Team Voltas Limited, Pantnagar organised the “Awareness Session on COVID-19 and Safety Rules”. Volunteers shared the updates on COVID-19 and briefing about SMS - (i) Social Distancing (ii) Mask and (iii) Sanitize your hands, and Usage of Emergency contacts such as - 100 - Police, 101 - Fire, 108 - Emergency, 112 - Police control room and 104 - Corona pandemic.     Cleanliness Drive Voltas      Volunteers from Voltas Limited , Pantnagar Unit organised the Environment cleaning drive with the theme - "Clean India, Green India”. Volunteers took the initiative and cleaned the main road of the SIDCUL industrial.     Session for Spreading Awareness on COVID-19 Relief Schemes Tata Power      Tata Power volunteers organised a session on spreading awareness about COVID-19 relief package for poor families. Total 55 Anganwadi Workers and health workers participated in the session. It was decided that each community volunteer will enrol atleast 100 people from their respective area in COVID-19 relief package.     Career Counselling Session Tata Steel Utilities and Infrastructure Services      Tata Steel Utilities and Infrastructure Services Ltd volunteers organised a career counselling session for class IX & X students of S.S Academy. Volunteers guided the students in choosing the subject that interests them, motivated them to study and told them to never drop their courage even if they fail in certain subjects.     Fun with English Session Tata Steel Utilities and Infrastructure Services      Tata Steel Utilities and Infrastructure Services Ltd. volunteers organised ‘Fun with English’ Session for students of S.N High School, UHS Dugni and for villagers of Anandpur & Pudisili. In this session, volunteers conducted a ‘Learning with Fun’ session in English to develop vocabulary and develop interest in English language. In this session, students were made aware of some ‘common figures of speech’, explanation and usage in constructing the sentences.     Water Conservation Session Tata Steel Utilities and Infrastructure Services      Tata Steel Utilities and Infrastructure Services Ltd volunteers organised ‘Water Conservation’ session for class VII to VIII students from S.S Academy School. The volunteers showed the presentation & video and made them aware about importance of saving water. Volunteers also told the students that if we are not careful about water usage, we will not be able to get water to drink in the next few decades. Volunteers also told the students about how wastewater can also be purified and reused.     COVID-19 Awareness Campaign Tata Steel Utilities and Infrastructure Services      Volunteers from Tata Steel Utilities and Infrastructure Services Ltd., Kalinganagar, Odisha organised a COVID-19 awareness session. Volunteers created awareness about the safety precautions that needs to be undertaken during the pandemic. They also discussed about safety measures such as wearing masks, maintain social distance, washing hands at regular intervals, maintain 3feet distance from each other, avoid large gatherings, etc. At the end of the session, volunteers also distributed masks and soaps to the participants.     Interaction Session Tata Steel Utilities and Infrastructure Services      Tata Steel Utilities and Infrastructure Services Ltd. volunteers organised an Interaction session with the JUSCO Super20 Batch-I and Batch-II engineering students. In their interaction session volunteers made students comfortable and solved their queries regarding selection of field, placement opportunities, etc. They made sure that incase the students need any guidance in their career they can freely connect with the volunteers.     COVID-19 Awareness Campaign for Labours Tata Steel Utilities and Infrastructure Services      Kalinganagar volunteers from Tata Steel Utilities and Infrastructure Services Ltd. in Odisha organised an awareness session for workers/laborer’s. Volunteers from Dimna also encourage the ‘Green Cap’ social active team and included them in this drive. Volunteers removed garbage, plastics, bottles and also spoke to local people about keep the surroundings clean.     Visit to Watershed Project Rallis India      On 24th September, 2020 a group of seven volunteers from Rallis India, Lote Unit visited Checkdam (Watershed project) situated at Ghagwadi, Songaon, Lote. This Watershed was built for the nearby community with an aim to make water available throughout the year. Communities make use of the water from this checkdam for various purposes such as domestic uses, vegetable farming, hydro power generation etc. Volunteers also cleaned the premises of checkdam, removed all the unwanted wastes.     Industrial Safety Awareness Programme Rallis India      Volunteers of Rallis India, Dahej unit organised a session on Industrial Safety Awareness session for Vaghra ITI trainees. 55 trainees & few instructors attended the session. Mr.Arvind Mahuli, Safety head, Dahej Unit along with few volunteers conducted the session and created awareness about safety precautions to be undertaken in industrial areas. They also told the participants about various types of hazardous situation in industrial areas and how one can be safe if necessary precautions are undertaken.     Health and Biology Session Rallis India      Volunteers of Rallis India, Dahej unit organized a session on Health and Biological changes in girls for 6th to 8th of primary girls school from Andada. Phycologist Ms.Manasi Amdekar conducted this session & shared some knowledge regarding health and biological changes in females. Many girls in this age group are unaware about the biological changes, menstruation cycles, pregnancy, etc. Through this session participants benefitted and learnt many new things about female body.     Speech Competition Programme Rallis India      Volunteers from Rallis India, Dahej organised a speech competition programme for 5th to 8th standard government school students. The subject of the program was ‘Safety Precautions from COVID-19’. 15 students participated in the programme and delivered excellent speeches.     Training Session Tata Advanced Systems      As part of our endeavour to reach out to as many lives as possible and ensure we create lasting impact, a session was carried out for Naandi Organization, focussing on enriching the lives of several thousand students. A training session was conducted for members of Naandi Foundation on various topics such as Whale Done Concept, Sustenance in Life - Synergy of Team and Goal Alignment. The trainers were thoroughly involved and left us with a high level of learning and awareness on topics which in their own words would help them in reaching out to young minds and hearts whom they touch on a daily basis.     Storytelling Session Tata Advanced Systems      A story telling session was conducted by volunteers for children at Juvenile Home, Hyderabad on 25 September 2020. Volunteers recited the story of Swami Vivekananda - an inspiring and well-known personality who was a spiritual leader and social reformer. Volunteers explained the children about his early life, education, teachings, tremendous intellect and his unique contributions which always enlightened us.     Making Planters from Pet Bottles Tata Projects      Volunteers from Tata Projects got involved in the "Making Planters from Pet Bottles" and were excited to recycle the plastic bottles to create best out of waste.
