All of us love playing sports - it not only keeps us healthy but also keeps us entertained. There are innumerable kinds of sports, some very well-known and some not so popular. Volunteer developed a quiz for students to help them learn about sports, sports persons and help enhance their interest in different kinds of sports and games. About 4000 children were reached by the quiz.
 
  Stories of hope: Translate from Marathi to English Tata Communications   
 
Light of Life Trust works to transform the lives of underprivileged rural communities and their holistic development. Established in 2005, the trust has transformed 2,45,657 lives so far. Among these numbers are, thousands of stories of success, hope and dreams that needs to be told and showcased to create similar stories across the country. Volunteers took up the stories of their success and translated them from Marathi to English to make them available for all and touch more lives.
 
  Kitchen Gardening (Collaborative Activity) Tata Communications   
 
Growing your own food is relishing nature’s bounties within your home environment. If you are lucky enough to live in an apartment/bungalow with a garden space or balcony, you may be able to grow a garden in part of the space. Volunteers joined us for this interesting workshop cum volunteering initiative to learn how to grow a kitchen garden at their homes.
 
  Awareness on environment Tata Communications   
 
Environment education is a key part of children's basic education. It is imperative that a sense of interest and caring is developed in children while they are in school. Volunteer helped to create a question bank to assess the understanding about the subject in a fun filled and innovative manner. Around 2000 beneficiaries were reached by this interesting questionnaire.
 
  Game on! Tata Communications   
 
Creative learning can give educators a way to help students come up with creative resolutions to problem. Volunteers helped to develop creative games to engage and educate underserved children learn socio-emotional life skills. These games will help build strong foundation to develop basic life skills like motivation, creativity, integrity, teamwork etc. in the children.
 
  Hello India (For colleagues from Americas, Europe, APAC & MENA) Tata Communications   
 
Colleagues from Americas, Europe, APAC and MENA volunteered for Hello India. Volunteers connected with a college student residing in India with whom they spoke for half an hour for 5 days. Volunteers discussed about the city they live in, the culture, education system, famous places etc to provide the students an understanding of global culture.
 
  Tell a story (Hindi) Tata Communications   
 
Story telling is of the oldest art and each one of use at some point in our childhood have heard stories from the grown ups. And later read books to build our knowledge, learn and to enjoy our free time. Volunteers became storytellers for young children from our CSR program with Idea Foundation. Volunteers narrated stories to the children for 30 minutes for a week and teach them new things from the stories.
 
  Digital Teaching Tata Communications   
 
The lockdown has limited the learning options for students, more so for children from underprivileged communities are hardly getting a chance to get education. Around 22 volunteers from Tata Communications created a pool of digital learning materials to contribute and develop basic learning skills like reading, writing, speaking, and listening amongst the children.

Apart from the usual route of learning, activity-based or game-based learning methods help students to grasp topics and concepts with ease and the retention of knowledge is also better. Volunteer’s created digital educational cards to enable children to learn in the fun-filled way. 2000 beneficiaries are reached by this activity.
 
  Mathematical Quiz for students Tata Communications   
 
Volunteers from Tata Communications used their mathematical proficiency to create a question bank. Volunteers created a quiz with 20 math-based questions. These questions will be added to a question bank repository to help underprivileged students enhance their math skills.
 
  Connection Call with Students Tata Communications   
 
Female volunteers from Tata Communications connected with a female school or college student and had a one on one conversation to motivate these young students and help them think beyond their horizons.
 
  Thanksgiving to Front-line Workers Tata Communications   
 
The COVID-19 front-line workers have been tirelessly working to ensure safety and well-being of the public. Volunteers expressed their gratitude through an e-card for their selfless service. About 33 volunteers prepared beautiful e-cards and sent them to 33 front-line workers.
 
  Mentoring Activity Tata Communications   
 
Young people who are on the verge of starting their journey as professionals need support to create their resumes, connect with likeminded professionals and seek potential employers. Volunteers from Tata Communications interacted with approximately 33 students who are about to start their careers. They helped building their resumes and guided them on job search.
 
  Manuals on Soft Skills and Professional Development Tata Communications   
 
Volunteers from Tata Communications created manuals on soft skills and professional development for young students which will be required for their professional journey. Around 1500 students will benefit with these manuals.
 
  Create Videos on Selfcare Tata Communications   
 
Volunteers created simple videos on self-care for specially abled people. The objective behind these videos are to help the specially abled people to independently undertake some of their daily tasks. Volunteers created videos on- tying a shoelace, folding napkins, how to greet people, etc.

  Mock Interviews Tata Communications   
 
Volunteers from Tata Communications helped youth prepare for interviews by conducting mock interviews with them. This supported the young people to build their confidence and enhance their skills while undergoing an interview.
 
  Workshop on Rainwater Harvesting Tata Communications   
 
It is difficult to imagine a day without water. However, today we are facing water scarcity in some cities more than others. Rain water harvesting is a method of collecting, storing and purifying run off water. Over 200 Volunteers from Tata Communications joined for interesting workshop on wherein they learnt on the concept and technology of rainwater harvesting for domestic use and how it fits into the overall picture of appropriate rural and urban water supply in developing countries. Volunteers got a hands-on experience in creating Rain Gauge and Rain Chain.
 
  Waste Management Workshop Tata Communications   
 
Volunteers prepared manuals on waste segregation and management at household level to enable people to reduce the amount of waste generated daily in the houses. These manuals will be reached to about 1500 beneficiaries.
 
  English Language Workshop Tata Communications   
 
Students can have various difficulties and problems in learning English. The most common being in pronunciation, grammar and vocabulary usage. Volunteers from Tata Communication helped young students learn English by preparing a document of 10 words with examples of 5 sentences for each word.
 
  Mock Interviews Session Tata Communications   
 
Tata Communications volunteers helped youth to prepare for interviews by conducting mock interviews with them. This supported the young people to build their confidence and enhance their skills while undergoing an interview.
 
  Mentoring Session Tata Communications   
 
Volunteers from Tata Communications organised a online mentoring session for Tata Strive students. Volunteers spoke to them about positive thinking, building resilience and managing stress during COVID-19. Thier guidance has provided courage and hope to these students who are on the brink of starting their careers in these uncertain times.

Volunteer from Tata Communications helped youth prepare for interviews by conducting mock interviews with them. This supported the young people to build their confidence and enhance their skills while undergoing an interview. 28 beneficiaries were impacted by this session.
 
  Share Your Story Tata Communications   
 
Volunteers shared their personal stories in form of video recordings. These stories were developed with an aim to inspire someone dealing with similar struggles. Volunteers shared stoties on how can they rescue animals, cancer survivoral stories, etc. These life changing stories were shared with young students to help them overcome their own struggles.
 
  Building a Nest Tata Consulting Engineers   
 
Tata Consulting Engineers Ltd., conducted an activity called “Chidiya Ka Ghosla”(Building a Nest) for employees & their family members. The activity involved 46 volunteers. Volunteers created nest from cardboard and available material. Volunteers enthusiastically participated and they created the nest made up of cardboard box in their balconies.
 
  Career Counselling Tata Consulting Engineers   
 
Tata Consulting Engineers along with Volunteers from Tata Consultancy Services, conducted Career Counselling session for night school students of ‘Masoom NGO’. In continuation of last session conducted on 9th September 2020, this session focused on how to face interviews, how to prepare a resume with basic details, various portals wherein they can post their resumes. Communication skills plays very important role and the students were briefed on the same. Language also matters – real experiences were shared by students. We also discussed on Code of Conduct, mindful expenditure and keeping a mindset for saving.
 
  Growing Micro Green Tata Consulting Engineers   
 
Poshan Abhiyaan is a multi-ministerial convergence mission with the vision to ensure attainment of malnutrition-free India by 2022. Its aim is to ensure holistic development and adequate nutrition for pregnant women, mothers and children. Volunteers displayed growing of micro greens which are rich in several nutrients to the caregivers and teachers of differently abled students. Approximately 22 participants benefited from this activity.
 
  Facilitating Job opportunities during and post COVID-19 Tata Power Delhi Distribution   
 
An online session for awareness on job opportunities during and post COVID-19 era was organised by Tata Power Delhi Distribution colleagues. The session was conducted for 21 students from Anudip Foundation. Participants learnt about LinkedIn platform and had a training about signing up on LinkedIn as well as searching on various job opportunities.
 
  Career Motivation Tata Advanced Systems   
 
An online session on “Career Motivation” was conducted for High School students with a focus to prepare the young minds to have a goal in their career and make them work towards it. The session stressed upon why career motivation is important for students, how to set up a goal in life by following passion, short term goals, motivation & inspiration and contributing towards achieving the goal, mentorship and how to choose a correct mentor and finally career opportunities.
 
  Session on Google tools Tata Consulting Engineers   
 
An online Session on Google tools was conducted for High School students. Students were introduced to Google Search, how to search a particular file – doc/xls./pdf/jpeg, pages related to search, how to use google as a calculator, unit conversion, how to identify secure pages in the browser and simple techniques for effective search results.
 
  Session on COVID-19 Tata Advanced Systems   
 
An online session on “COVID 19 - Pandemic” was conducted for High School students The students were explained about COVID-19 virus, symptoms, effects, preventive measures, PPEs, social distancing at public places, during travel etc.
 
  Personal Finance Session Tata Advanced Systems   
 
An online session on “Personal Finance” was conducted for students of Naandi Foundation, an NGO engaged in improving the livelihoods of underprivileged communities. The session was aimed to create awareness on Personal Finance and Managing Crisis. COVID-19 has affected economic conditions globally, personal Finance is the need of the hour, small things and changes can make our lives and impact our future. Concepts of saving, investing, budgeting and short & long term financial goals were also discussed.
 
  Awareness Session on Safe Use of Pesticides Rallis India   
 
Volunteers from Rallis have organized an awareness session on precautions to follow while spraying pesticides on crop. Volunteers shared the information through presentations and video wherein actual spraying of pesticides on crop was demonstrated for better understanding. Volunteers also shared important tips to avoid harmful practices of spraying pesticides.
 
  Awareness session on improved fruit cultivation Rallis India   
 
Rallis volunteers organized an awareness session on improving quality of fruit cultivation and generation of income from the same. Volunteers shared important information about various deceases of crop, how to save the crops, increase the quality of crop and increase in sale of fruits and vegetables. 75 farmers benefitted by this activity.
 
  Enterprise Development Program Tata Steel Long Products   
 
Jharkhand Enterprises (Jharkhand SHG), a group enterprise in Jamalpur works for making hand gloves as one of the key Personal Protective Equipment and as an alternate source of income. Focussed Group Discussion (FGD) was organised by Tata Steel Long Products on Income Generation Programmes (IGP) with women members of Jai Ganga Ajivika Sakhi Mandal (SHG) of Chota Gamharia.
 
  Conservation of Medicinal plants Tata Chemicals   
 
The COVID-19 pandemic has brought local medicinal plants and herbs into focus to boost the immunity. One such plant in demand is "Gilroy" (Tinospora cordifolia). Volunteers from Tata Chemicals launched a campaign to create awareness on this medicinal plant and have also initiated a drive to promote plantation of this plant in and around Mithapur.

Volunteers from Tata Motors conducted an online session on Menstrual Health and Hygiene with the women and adolescent girls from Sanand and Mumbai. 23 women volunteers participated and were glad to share the knowledge.
 
  Session on Virtual Platforms for teachers Tata Motors   
 
Tata Motors’ volunteers helped to create videos and presentations for an NGO. Volunteers made a presentation on steps to use virtual platform like MS Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, etc and forms to take the feedback. This presentation will be useful for school teachers who are learning such tools for the first time due to pandemic.
 
  Session on Environment-friendly Lifestyle Tata Motors   
 
2 volunteers from Tata Motors conducted a session on eco-friendly lifestyle with the school students. They explained them how such lifestyle can be beneficial for themselves and environment and for the entire ecosystem.
 
  Mask Distribution Drive Ginger Hotels   
 
A group of volunteers from Ginger Vapi, undertook mask distribution drive and created awareness about COVID-19. Total 13 volunteers participated in activity.
 
  Celebration of International Peace Day Tata Power Delhi Distribution   
 
An online session on International Peace Day was organised for beneficiaries of Vocational Training Centers (VTCs). The session witnessed participation from around 30 beneficiaries and was facilitated by 12 volunteers.
 
  Session on Digital Payment Tata Power Delhi Distribution   
 
As we are all in the digital age, learning digital tools has a lot of significance. To spread awareness about digital payment, an online session was organised for beneficiaries of Vocational Training Centers (VTCs) by Tata Power Delhi Distribution. 40 beneficiaries actively participated and learnt new digital payment tools.
 
  Session on Water Conservation Tata Power Delhi Distribution   
 
An online session on Water Conservation was organised for beneficiaries of Vocational Training Centers (VTCs) – M2K, Sector-3, Rohini & Badli, Delhi. The session witnessed participation from around 55 beneficiaries and was facilitated by SIG team members and NGO partners along with the volunteers.
 
  Facilitating Water Services in the Community Tata Power Delhi Distribution   
 
Volunteers from Tata Power-DDL has handed over a Commercial RO Plant to the students of Govt. Boys Sr. Secondary School, Alipur. The RO Plant installed by Tata Power-DDL has a purifying capacity of 500 litre water per hour (LPH) and will directly benefit 7000 students, teachers and staff of the school every day. The RO plant was inaugurated by Tata Power-DDL SLT members and the MLA (Narela) in the presence of other officials of Tata Power-DDL, principal, teachers, staff members and the School Management Committee members (SMC). Representatives of Tata Power-DDL also generated awareness on the importance of water conservation during the program. The event concluded with a plantation drive in the school

  Awareness Session on Staying Safe During COVID-19 Tata Power Delhi Distribution   
 
An online session on ‘Staying Safe During COVID-19’ was organised for beneficiaries of Vocational Training Centers (VTCs). The session was organized by volunteers from the TOPPPG department and facilitated by SIG team members and NGO partners. Volunteers displayed safety precautions such as wearing mask, washing hands, maintaining social distance, etc.

An online awareness session on Immunity Boosters was organised for beneficiaries of Vocational Training Centers (VTCs) –Netaji Subhash Place (NSP) and CSA Colony, Delhi. The session was conducted by Ms. Neha Malik from Tata power Trading Company Limited and was facilitated by SIG team members and NGO partners.
 
  Session on Health and Nutrition Tata Power Delhi Distribution   
 
A training session on Health and Nutrition was organised for Women Literacy Centers’ instructors, coordinators and other staff under POSHAN Abhiyan. The session was organized in collaboration with IMPACT4Nutrition and UNICEF. Around 110 beneficiaries participated in the session.

An online session on Building Aspirations was organised for beneficiaries of Vocational Training Centers (VTCs) – Badli, Delhi. The session was conducted by Ms. Neha Malik from Tata power Trading Company Limited and was facilitated by SIG team members and NGO partners.
 
  Education Series with ABHAs Tata Power Delhi Distribution   
 
Volunteers from Tata Power Delhi Distribution, Corporate Communications department organised the first online session under the ‘Consumer Education Series’ for the ABHAs, the brand ambassadors of the company in the JJ clusters. The volunteers talked about various features implemented by the Company for customer support and satisfaction pertaining to meter readings, bills, digitization etc. information that are important and will be passed on to the customers by the ABHAs in the communities.
 
  COVID-19 Safety and Prevention Tips Tata Power Delhi Distribution   
 
Volunteers from Tata Power Delhi Distribution, IT department conducted an online awareness session for beneficiaries of Vocational Training Center (VTCs) – Lal Bagh, Delhi. The session focused on COVID-19 safety and prevention tips and was facilitated by 11 volunteers. More than 40 students participated in session.
 
  Dry Ration Distribution Tata Power Delhi Distribution   
 
During this pandemic, several people are in dire need of ration and other essentials. Around 14 volunteers from Tata Power Delhi Distribution, Security Department, provided self-contributory grocery items for the afflicted citizens living in “Apna Ghar Ashram” at Bawana Road, Pooth, Delhi.
 
  Health and Hygiene Session Tata Power Delhi Distribution   
 
Volunteers of Tata Power-DDL organised an online awareness session, in association with Eduquest (NGO Partner) for beneficiaries and staff of Women Literacy Centers (WLCs). The session focused on Health and other issues, with a special focus on COVID-19 related problems, prevention and precautionary tips and essential ‘Dos and Don’ts’.

An online session on Digital Lockers was organised for beneficiaries of Vocational Training Centers (VTCs) – Netaji Subhash Place (NSP) and CSA Colony, Delhi. The session was conducted by Ms. Neha Malik from TPTCL and was facilitated by SIG team members and NGO partners.
 
  Staying Fit and Healthy during COVID-19 Tata Power Delhi Distribution   
 
An online session on Staying fit & Healthy during COVID-19 was organised for Vocational Training Centers’ (VTCs) beneficiaries. The session was taken by senior leadership team member, Mr. Amit Kumar Garg (Head - Business Development, Tata Power-DDL). The session was highly informative and interesting and was facilitated by volunteers from the SIG department and NGO partner.
 
  Time Management Tata Power Delhi Distribution   
 
An online session on Time Management and Useful Applications during COVID-19 was organised for ABHA Coordinators. The session was organised by volunteers from the HR – Talent Development department and facilitated by SIG team members.
 
  Digitalisation and Safe Practices during COVID-19 Tata Power Delhi Distribution   
 
An online session on Digitization and Safe practices during COVID-19 was organised for ABHAs and ABHA Coordinators. The session was taken by Mr. Dwijadas Basak (Chief – Commercial, Tata Power-DDL. The session was highly informative and interesting and was facilitated by volunteers from the SIG department and NGO partners.
 
  Women Empowerment Session Tata Power Delhi Distribution   
 
An online session on Women Empowerment was organised for Women Literacy Centers’ instructors, coordinators and other staff. The session was conducted by Mr. Bharat Kumar Bhadawat (Head - Regulatory, Legal & Power, Tata Power-DDL). The session was highly informative, interesting and interactive, wherein the speaker spoke about the legal rights of women and the support that they are rightfully entitled to. The session was facilitated by volunteers from the SIG department.
 
  An Educational Workshop on Aarogya setu VOLTAS   
 
An educational live workshop on aarogya setu app to the group of NGO workers who daily move in the field for covid-19 relief work.
