Bhubaneswar, March 27, 2026: As part of KIIT Fest 9.0, a workshop on “Sustainable Energy Applications in Rural India” was organized at KIIT University, Bhubaneswar, by the KIIT School of Rural Management. Two volunteers from TP Central Odisha Distribution Limited (TPCODL) participated in the initiative. Pradeep Ghosal, Head – CSR, Odisha DISCOMs, served as the key resource person and shared insights on the role of sustainable energy in rural development. Drawing from his field experience, he highlighted CSR-led initiatives and practical approaches to implementing clean energy solutions, contributing to career guidance and mentoring for students.

The session was led by Shri Himadri S. Behera, Team Lead – Safety, who highlighted the importance of basic safety precautions often overlooked in daily life. He shared practical tips to help individuals protect themselves and their families, reinforcing the need for consistent adherence to safe electrical and fire safety practices.

Bhubaneswar, March 29, 2026: Six volunteers from TP Central Odisha Distribution Limited (TPCODL) organized a plogging drive at the Shikharchandi Hills to mark the significance of TVW-25. Demonstrating strong environmental responsibility, the volunteers collected nearly 25 kg of plastic waste from the hilly terrain. The collected waste will be handed over to the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation’s MRF Centre for proper processing and recycling. The initiative highlighted the importance of cleanliness, waste segregation, and responsible disposal, while encouraging community participation in protecting natural surroundings and promoting sustainable environmental practices.

Odisha, March 30, 2026: Twenty volunteers from TP Central Odisha Distribution Limited (TPCODL) organized a Mega Village Health Camp as part of TVW-25, reaching communities in Cuttack, Dhenkanal, and Paradeep. Conducted through a Mobile Health Dispensary, the initiative provided basic health check-ups and awareness sessions on general health and hygiene. Volunteers also educated participants about the importance of sanitary napkin usage and distributed sample kits to promote better menstrual hygiene practices. The activity contributed to health check-up and awareness efforts, helping improve community health knowledge and access to basic healthcare services in rural areas.

Khurda, March 28, 2026: As part of Tata Volunteering Week, 50 volunteers from TP Central Odisha Distribution Limited (TPCODL) organized a Jala Chatra initiative to offer relief to people during the intense summer heat. The program also featured cultural activities such as singing and dance, with students actively participating and receiving gifts. Volunteers distributed kit bags containing notebooks and pens, along with juice and chocolates, and served refreshments to attendees. Additionally, ceiling fans were donated to the Ashram to help students cope with the upcoming summer heat, supporting community welfare and relief efforts.
