  Celebrating International Literacy Day with Children Tata Consulting Engineers   
 
Tata Consulting Engineers volunteered to conduct an awareness session on importance of literacy and education for young children between the age of 8 – 14. Volunteers engaged with children to make them aware about advantages of being able to read and write in today’s tough world. Children were shown videos and pictures of various educational platforms thus generating curiosity among the group followed by an interactive Q&A session. The activity was organised in collaboration with a NGO, Door Step School.
 
  Marking Hindi Diwas and World First Aid Day Tata Consulting Engineers   
 
Volunteers came together to celebrate Hindi Diwas and World First Aid Day with children from a NGO, Door Step School. Children were made aware of the importance and presence of the language, Hindi in our country. A detailed presentation was made on the history of Hindi Diwas, the importance of the day and why we celebrate it.

Additionally, the team also marked the World First Aid Day where children were shown videos and pictures of basic first aid skills to make them aware of the do’s and don’ts during an emergency.
 
  Post Covid Awareness Session with Children Tata Consulting Engineers   
 
Employees from Tata Consulting Engineers conducted an online session with children from Sakshi NGO and Lal Bahadur Shastri Sudarshnam Bal Ashram to sensitize them about Covid precautions and way forward. The volunteers interacted with the children in form of comic stories to gain their interest. A quiz was also organized followed by a drawing and recitation session.
 
  Tree Plantation Drive Tata Consulting Engineers   
 
Volunteers from Tata Consulting Engineers conducted a tree plantation drive at GATI Site, Nagpur and created awareness on environment conservation among all stakeholders at the site location. Over 20 saplings were planted on the surrounding areas.
 
  Plastic to Planters and more Tata Consulting Engineers   
 
Volunteers engaged with children from Development Association for Integrated Activity (DAIA) to create awareness on the use of plastic and the damaging it is bringing to our environment. The team shared ideas of re-using plastic bottles and making items out of them. During the session, the volunteers together with the children created some daily use items such as piggy bank, pen stand and planters.
 
  Tree Plantation Drive Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited   
 
Volunteers from TPDDL came together to conduct a tree plantation drive to help strike the right balance in the ecosystem by conserving nature, natural resources and increasing green cover. Various saplings were planted and the volunteers enthusiastically participated in the drive helping each other in planting the saplings.
 
  Virtual ABHA Session Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited   
 
A virtual ABHA training session was conducted for newly appointed ABHAs. The session was organized by team SIG and SCG to familiarize with the socio-commercial aspects of their work profile. In the session an overview of SIG and SCG’s work processes and initiatives was given by the volunteers.
 
  Visit to the Gaushala Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited   
 
The volunteers conducted a visit to a gaushala where they interacted with the community members and learned the benefits of dairy products and medicinal uses. They also assisted the caretakers to tend to injured and sick cow followed by lending a hand in the process of preparing and storing fodder.
 
    Session on mental health with community women Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited   
 
A group of volunteers from different departments of TPDDL conducted a session on mental health and its well-being for women instructors from Women Literacy Center and ABHA coordinators. The session was attended by 55 women. The session focused on the importance of mental health from childhood to adolescence through adulthood. The volunteers explained how mental health impacts the way we think, feel and act every day followed by some tips to maintain a good mental health and the participants appreciated the session a lot.
 
    Awareness Session on Employment Generation Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited   
 
A session was organized for the Vocational Training Center beneficiaries in respect to their future career prospects. Volunteers discussed about the employment opportunities for the students in various trades giving the students an opportunity to find out their strengths and work on it, utilizing it to their advantage.
 
  Utilization of Waste Material Tata Steel Long Products Ltd   
 
Volunteers from Bilepada Joda conducted a session on waste material management and utilization by recycling of construction waste materials. The session focused on how doing so will save natural resources, energy, reduce solid waste, air and water pollutants and the emission of greenhouse gases.
 
  Awareness on Covid-19 Tata Steel Long Products Ltd   
 
A session was organised by the volunteers to help students from SNPS understand the preventive measures in such difficult times. Students spoke about the challenging situations they have been facing and the volunteers interacted with them instilling hope in their lives.
 
    Session on Livelihood Tata Steel Long Products Ltd   
 
A two-hour programme was organised for members of SHGs on livelihood project- SHGs Development at Anseikala. The volunteers focused on explaining why an individual should be associated with this project and how it will provide potential livelihood outcomes like increased income, better quality of life, improved food security, knowledge of sustainable use of natural resource base and reduced vulnerability.
 
    Celebration of Ganesh Puja with Children Tata Steel Long Products Ltd   
 
Volunteers from Tata Steel Long Products arranged for students to attend the two-day Ganesh Puja at RBC where they were made to learn about the significance and history of the festival. Additionally, some competitions on educational topics were also organised for the students.
 
   Health and Safety at Workplace Tata Steel Long Products Ltd   
 
An awareness programme was organised for over 60 contractual workers of civil office at TSLPL Bileipada. The session sensitised the workers about the three basic rights: the right to refuse dangerous work and know that you're protected from reprisal, the right to know about workplace hazards and have access to basic health and safety information & the right to participate in health and safety discussions and health and safety committee.
 
  Awareness Session on Domestic Violence Tata Steel Long Products Ltd   
 
Volunteers interacted with women from the surrounding communities and spoke to them about domestic violence, the need to raise voice against such act and how to overcome such situations. They explained that domestic violence is a major cause for ill health of women and has serious consequences on the mental, emotional and physical health.
 
  Road Safety Awareness Tata Steel Long Products Ltd   
 
Awareness programme on road safety was conducted by the volunteers at Village Panchayat Road Birikala & Bile pada Market impacting over 200 beneficiaries. The purpose was to create awareness among people about road safety measures, workplace safety, safety of human health as well as the environment.
 
   General Awareness Sessions Tata Steel Long Products Ltd   
 
Volunteers conducted several sessions on good behaviour, unity in strength, increase in productivity and self-development. The beneficiaries were workers, students, teachers, youth and community members at large.
 
  POSH & Career Awareness Program for Girls The Tinplate Company Of India Ltd   
 
A POSH (Policy for Prevention of Sexual Harassment) and Career Awareness program was organized by the female volunteers of TCIL for the girls studying at Tinplate Union Mahila Inter College. The POSH team laid emphasis on self-respect and women rights. Tips on choosing careers as well as some self-defence techniques were shared with the girls.
 
  Visit to Cheshire Home The Tinplate Company Of India Ltd   
 
A team of volunteers from Finance & Accounts Department of TCIL, visited Cheshire Home in Jamshedpur and spent time with the residents where they shared their experiences and their daily routine. The volunteers provided food and grocery items to the home.
 
    Heena and Hair Styling Competition for Community Girls The Tinplate Company Of India Ltd   
 
Volunteers from TCIL organized a heena and hair styling competition for girls living in a nearby community in Jamshedpur. The aim of the activity was to provide a platform for the girls to showcase their talent.
 
   Har Ghar Suraksha Campaign and Har Ghar Naitikta Campaign TP Central Odisha Distribution Limited (TPCODL)   
 
The women brand ambassadors ‘Bijuli Didis’ led this door-to-door campaign sensitizing households on electrical, road safety and ethics to be responsible citizens. Under this program, over 800 women volunteers went to sensitize households in their area, thus reaching out around 2 lakh household in 11 out of 20 divisions of TPCODL. These women volunteers were given training before conducting this program by TPCODL Division Staff.
 
  Blood Donation Camp TP Central Odisha Distribution Limited (TPCODL)   
 
Volunteers from Cuttack Distribution Division II organized a Blood Donation Camp in association with Indian Red Cross Society in the office premises. Total 62 units of blood was donated.
 
  Capacity Building for Women TP Central Odisha Distribution Limited (TPCODL)   
 
Volunteers of Angul division conducted a capacity building program with for over 70 women from Self Help Groups where they were provided training on various aspects of personality development, financial literacy etc.
 
  Road Safety Awareness Amalgamated Plantations   
 
Volunteers organised a Road Safety Awareness program at Ghogra Market area where the team spoke about measures to be adopted while driving or traveling by road. The session saw participation from many members such as factory workers, ASHA workers, CHVs, local union members, teachers, Mohila Mondol members, students and local residents.
 
    Wall Painting Activity Amalgamated Plantations   
 
Volunteers visited the Government run Achabam Navajtoty L P School, where ACMS officials, Anganwadi workers, ASHA workers, girls club members, teachers and other community members, together engaged in painting the walls of the school building including windows.
 
  Awareness on Importance of Computer Education Rallis India Ltd   
 
Rallis volunteers together with NGO partner, organized an awareness session for youths from communities in Akola & Murbad. Volunteers spoke in detail about the possibilities through computer education such as small-scale business, education exams through online platforms and more.
 
  Cricket Session with Special Children TATA Advanced Systems Limited   
 
Realising that play is critical for overall development of special children, the volunteers visited a centre for children with disabilities to spend time with the children. They played cricket with the children, interacted with them and hand-painted a tree on a wall.
 
    Nutrition Session for Children Tata Chemicals   
 
A team of volunteers from Tata Chemicals, Cuddalore came together to organize a general nutrition session for children from Semmankuppam village. They team took the kids through the basics of nutrition and its importance in our life. They also engaged in a play session with the children.
 
  Virtual Culture Tour for Students with Disabilities Tata Consulting Engineers Ltd   
 
TCE Bengaluru volunteers took students with disabilities on a virtual culture tour. They were given information on different culture of different states and their unique dances. Students enjoyed and also danced on some cultural music. Each volunteer performed different dances as per their culture which motivated the students to come forward and dance.
 
  Safety Awareness and Quiz Program Tata Consulting Engineers Ltd   
 
Volunteers conducted a Safety Awareness Drive for all stakeholders of the MVML Site team at Mahindra Vehicle Manufacturing Plant, Chakan, Pune. The session was attended by engineers of from various companies working at Mahindra Vehicle Manufacturing Plant. A safety quiz was organised for all engineers followed by an open session for questions and answers. The volunteers also shared informative guidelines on Covid protocol and the current scenarios in different state and nation.
 
  Making Paper Bags Tata Consumer Products  
 
The Tata Consumer Products volunteers organized a virtual session in collaboration with Akshaya Patra Foundation. The program focused on Making paper bag, learning to upcycle old newspapers into carry bags. The volunteers also had a chance to take the virtual tour of the Akshaya Patra kitchen.
 
    Session on Group Dynamics and Financial Management Tata Metaliks   
 
The volunteers came together to organize a session on group dynamics and financial management for Self Help Group members. 20 members from 5 SHGs participated in the event. The SHG members shared status of respective groups, their savings balance, loan availed from banks, challenges they face in banking and their future growth plan. The volunteers assisted them with their views to overcome the challenges during banking, different options available with financial institutions to avail higher interest rates on their savings amount, importance of proper book-keeping and accountancy, local business options and proper use of corpus for business growth.
 
  Session on Conscious Use of Plastic Tata Metaliks   
 
With an aim to sensitize the community on environment and reducing the usage of plastic in daily lives, TML volunteers conducted an interactive session with over 30 youth and women. The participants were made aware about the harmful impact of plastic on the landfills and water bodies. The volunteers took out time to explain the microns of plastic that gets harmful for consumption. They encouraged each person to take steps to reduce their use of plastics, to carry cloth/jute bags for shopping, use stainless steel plates, glasses and bottles. The activity was conducted at Krishnanagar Jr. High School.
 
    Farming Techniques with Farmers Tata Metaliks   
 
An interaction was held with the farmers & TML volunteers to understand the new techniques of paddy cultivation. System of rice intensification adopted by farmers was discussed with the employees, the advantages and the initial challenges faced by them. They were delighted to mention that the trainings and exposure has helped their quantity of rice production grow more than double. The employees urged the farmers to maintain proper records of the process and sales proceeds. They also encouraged them to train other farmers in the community by creating small capacity building programs.
 
  Finance Management Session for Women Tata Metaliks   
 
A session on savings tips, schemes and banking services was organized for women of Adult Literacy Centre at Khalkhhona village. The volunteers from different departments, finance, accounts, marketing, safety and environment spoke on easy tips to save money on a day-to-day basis, how not to fall for fraudulent schemes, what government schemes one can avail.
 
    Story-telling Session Tata Realty and Infrastructure Ltd   
 
Tata Realty employees came together to tell stories to children from shelter homes. These stories were aimed at imparting good values to students and help them learn more.
 
  Tactile Cards Making Tata Realty and Infrastructure Ltd   
 
Volunteers from Tata Realty engaged in making tactile greeting cards with basic materials to wish their loved ones and spread the message about children with disabilities. The activity aimed at creating a better and inclusive world for special children.
