  Building Livelihood for young students Indian Hotels Company Limited   
 
The Taj North Goa team, comprising of Taj Fort Aguada Resort & Spa Goa and Taj Holiday Village Resort & Spa Goa, welcomed and oriented 20 students from Navsarni College in Sawantwadi. The volunteers organized a career guidance and exposure session for the students. The workshop focused on explaining various functions /departments of an organization and the range of available career options in today’s world.

The volunteers will also further assist these students with a six-months training opportunity in their preferred department. On successful completion of the training, they will be considered on merit to pursue an apprenticeship program at the Taj North Goa Hotels.

The team also welcomes over 30 students from Government High School Nadora Revora, Bardez, Goa. A counselling and career guidance session was conducted where they were explained about the tourism Industry and how they could build a career with the rising number hotels in Goa.
 
  Importance of Health and Hygiene among Children Indian Hotels Company Limited   
 
A team from Taj North Goa visited the 'Little Acorns' shelter home for street children, along with the company doctor, and conducted a session on ‘Importance of Health and Hygiene’ for the young ones.

The doctor shed light on basic hygiene practices like brushing teeth, bathing and other necessary habits to maintain a clean body. The children were also made aware about keeping their environment and surroundings clean, a simple diet plan that would keep them healthy.

'Little Acorns Day Care Centre' is a shelter for street children in Calangute. This institute is a project of the El Shaddai Charitable Trust. Over 45 children between the age group of 3 to 8 years are provided with daycare services, food and education while their parent go for their daily labour work.
 
  Helping Stray Animals in Need Indian Hotels Company Limited   
 
The volunteers from Taj North Goa, which comprises Taj Fort Aguada Resort & Spa, Goa and Taj Holiday Village Resort & Spa, Goa came together to support Panjim Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) by handing over used linen from the resorts, that can be utilized while taking care for stray animals.

Panjim Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) looks after stray dogs, cats, and other animals and ensures that they have food, shelter, and medical assistance. Over the years, they have helped thousands of animals, seen to their health and safety, and provided them with care and affection.
 
  Supporting a Primary Health Centre to run mobile polio booths Indian Hotels Company Limited   
 
With the aim to keep the country free of polio, India organized its annual Polio National Immunization Day on 27th February, 2022. The Taj North Goa teams contributed to the immunization drive by providing two vehicles along with drivers to create a mobile polio booth at the Primary Health Centre (PHC) in Candolim.

The vehicles took the nurses and doctors of the PHC to the interiors of Calangute, Candolim, Nerul and Sinquerim. The mobile Polio booth reached out to those children whose parents could not bring them to the health center to get the vaccination done.
 
  Tree Plantation Drive Tata Chemicals, Mithapur   
 
The TCSRD and CSR/CD teams of Tata Chemicals kick-started TVW 17 with a plantation activity in the presence of senior leaders, executives, employees and their family members. Volunteers along with their family members counted trees to get sensitized about plantation and later planted saplings to increase the density of trees in the surrounding dry deciduous area.
 
  Celebrating Founder’s Day with school children Tata Chemicals, Mithapur   
 
Volunteers visited Primary Schools in the villages of Okhamandal Taluka, Devbhumi Dwarka. The team distributed chocolates to the children like every year and spent some engaging time with the children.
 
  Cleanliness Drive Tata Metaliks Limited   
 
Over 250 volunteers, including TML Employees, CSR project staff, security and administration teams, participated in a drive that focused on cleaning the surrounding areas of the factory and generate awareness about cleanliness among the shopkeepers near the plant. The leadership took to the streets cleaning the area and distributing pamphlets on health and hygiene. The employees cleaned the street and accumulated the garbage in one corner and encouraged the shop owners to do the same.

People from the community around took part in the drive and children from neighboring villages also joined in.
 
  Skill development for the youth Tata Metaliks Limited   
 
TML employees took a session with the trainees of Tata Metaliks Skill Development Centre. The trainees were undergoing their on-the-job training at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Midnapore. They are a part of the General Duty Assistant training implemented by Tata Strive. The employees counselled them on the prospects of the field. They urged the girls to complete their higher education and aim for bigger scope in this field.

TML senior leadership team along with Head - CSR, the team, employees from Tata Strive and hospital and nursing school authorities presented them their completion certificate.
 
  Awareness Program on Water Conservation Tata Metaliks Limited   
 
An awareness session was organized at Basantpur village to sensitize the community about water conservation, plantation & cleanliness issues. The session focused on explaining water conservation, its need for the hour and means to conserve water in the form of roof rain water harvesting and conserving water bodies like pond. The volunteers shared some daily activities that will help heal the environment. Some of the points covered were keeping all taps close while not in use, reusing waste water for irrigating plants and kitchen garden, planting more trees to keep the environment clean, checking soil erosion and invite rain in the area, avoiding cutting down of trees, maintaining personal hygiene and ensuring to keep the village clean by avoiding use of plastic.

The awareness session was combined with quiz to make the program interactive and fun learning. Session was concluded with prize distribution to all the winning participants.
 
  ‘Happy Hours’ with elderly people Tata Metaliks Limited   
 
Tata Metaliks employees visited Missionaries of Charity homes, Malancha on 3rd March,2022 along with family members. The employees gifted fruits to the elderly ladies and sang songs, interacted with them and spent good time. Most of them were overwhelmed by only talking to the women who have no one to call their own.
 
  Celebrating Founders’ Day and career counselling for drop-out girls Tata Metaliks Limited   
 
TML employees came together along with the community to commemorate the birth anniversary of our founder Jamsetji Nussarwanji Tata. The women group participated in a skit based on the core Tata values, of honesty & responsibility. Drop-out girls from our youth-led projects presented a dance. Different cultural events were organized in which the community participated. Key panchayat members were also preset and took pride in the Tata legacy that we all are part of.

TML employees especially the young graduate and diploma trainees took a session for the drop-out girls, motivating them to study hard and take on challenges to excel in life. They explained about different career opportunities that they can pursue after they complete the Madhyamik examinations.

The volunteers shared their personal experiences of school and college life and how they landed in their jobs, motivating the girls to strive for success.
 
  Blood Donation Drive Tata Projects   
 
A blood donation camp was organized at the Tata Power Chembur site in association with Masina Hospital Blood Centre, Mumbai. Over 50 employees volunteered, together donating 52 units of blood.

The employees who volunteered to donate blood were awarded with certificates and donors cards by the Masina Hospital Blood Centre, Mumbai.
