Tata Volunteering Week 19 Volume No. 07   
  Health awareness drive IHCL, Ltd (Ginger, Vapi)   
Ginger Vapi volunteers, along with the Valsad Racers group, actively participated in the Parnera Hill Parikrama, a 7 km hike with the aim of spreading health awareness and educating the masses about the impact of plastic waste on our environment. The volunteers promoted health awareness, along with a message to say no to plastic bags and to use environmentally friendly cotton bags.
  Refreshments for construction workers IHCL, Ltd (Taj Exotica Resort & Spa, The Palm, Dubai)  
Taj Exotica Resort and Spa, The Palm, Dubai, organized a tea and coffee refreshment activity specifically for construction workers. The event took place near the Exotic Residence in Dubai Investment Park, where construction workers from the local area were invited to enjoy a selection of teas, coffees, and a range of snacks. The event aimed to provide a relaxing break for the hard-working construction workers who often face long hours and challenging working conditions.
  Lake cleaning IHCL, Ltd (Taj Exotica Resort & Spa, The Palm, Dubai)   

The volunteers participated in a lake cleaning activity at Al Qudra Lake, where the volunteers spent several hours cleaning up the lake surroundings, collecting litter and waste that had been left behind by visitors. The team worked tirelessly, and their efforts were rewarded with a cleaner and more beautiful lake environment.

  Online Skill Workshop with Tata STRIVE IHCL, Ltd (Taj Exotica Resort & Spa, The Palm, Dubai)   
Taj Exotica Resort and Spa, The Palm, Dubai conducted an interactive session with Tata STRIVE to share insights about the hospitality industry. The event was aimed at providing students enrolled in the hospitality sector programmes with an opportunity to learn from experts in the field and gain a better understanding of the industry.
The session brought together trainers from Taj Exotica Resort and Spa and facilitators from Tata STRIVE to share their knowledge and experiences with the students. They engaged in a lively discussion about the various aspects of the hospitality industry, including the importance of customer service, the role of technology, and the current trends and challenges in the industry.
  Sapling plantation IHCL, Ltd (Taj Exotica Resort & Spa, The Palm, Dubai)  
As a part of the orientation program, new joinees of the resort participated in a sapling plantation drive at Exotican Residence, which serves as the employee accommodation for the resort. This initiative not only serves as an excellent way to welcome the new employees but also contributes towards environmental sustainability.
  Visit to special needs school IHCL, Ltd (Taj Exotica Resort & Spa, The Palm, Dubai)   

The associates of Taj Exotica Resort and Spa visited the Rashid Centre for People of Determination, Dubai, to spend time with the special needs' students as part of their commitment to social responsibility and community service. The team was given a tour of the centre, played games, sang songs, and did art and craft activities with the students. The visit reflects the resort's dedication to making a positive impact on the lives of the community.

  Dental camp JCAPCPL   
A team of three doctors, including a first-aid center doctor, conducted a dental camp activity to access the current oral hygiene condition and to provide advice on how to prevent oral diseases
  Roti Bank initiative JCAPCPL   
The volunteers distributed food to the people in need at the MGM Hospital Campus, Jamshedpur. The activity was conducted with Roti Bank.
  Women’s day celebration JCAPCPL   
The volunteers conducted a women’s day celebration event with teachers at Tata Workers Union School, Kadma, Jamshedpur. The team honored teachers and appreciated their efforts towards nurturing the children.
  Cleanliness drive JCAPCPL   
A cleaning drive was organized along with an awareness session on the use of plastic. The session aimed to raise awareness about the harmful effects of single-use plastic and discourage the disposal of plastic in public places. The event was highlighted by the participation of senior leaders and the involvement of family members. Visitors also joined us and appreciated our efforts to combat plastic pollution.
  Road safety awareness JCAPCPL   
The volunteers conducted an awareness program on road safety for young students from the communities.
  Session with people with disabilities JCAPCPL   
An awareness session was organized for people with disabilities, raising awareness about the challenges faced by them. Managing Director of JCAPCPL, Mr. Ujjwal Chakraborty, attended the session to promote inclusion and accessibility.
  Road safety awareness JCAPCPL   
The volunteers conducted a road safety awareness session with students from CPN Samity School, Sonari, Jamshedpur. The session focused on road safety for motorcyclists and the importance of crash helmet in Burma Mines Parking Area, Jamshedpur.
  Water Conservation Awareness JCAPCPL   
The volunteers conducted session on water awareness and educated them in ways to save water at home. The session was conducted for students at BPM School, Burma Mines, Jamshedpur
  Road safety awareness JCAPCPL   
The volunteers conducted a road safety awareness programme at the JMD parking area in Jamshedpur. Reflective stickers were pasted on the cycles to ensure visibility and safety while cycling on the road making the cyclist safe during night journey.
  Food distribution JCAPCPL   

The volunteers conducted a food distribution drive with Roti Bank for the people in need at the MGM Hospital campus in Jamshedpur.

  Hand wash awareness Rallis India Ltd (Ankleshwar)  

The volunteers organized a hand wash awareness session for 1st to 8th standard students of Government Primary School, Uchhali. The volunteers taught the students the methods and importance of hand washing. Free soaps were also distributed amongst the children.

  Quiz Competition Rallis India Ltd (Dahej)   
The volunteers organized a quiz competition program for students of Government Secondary and Higher Secondary School, Lakhigam. Selected students participated in the quiz competition and asked questions related to their subject.
  Food Distribution Rallis India Ltd (Ankleshwar)   
The volunteers from Rallis India Ltd. arranged a food distribution program on the occasion of Gudipadwa and Ugadi for the elderly of Jay Shree Jalaram Seva Mandal Trust, Bharuch. 80 people were provided with a special lunch and the volunteers spent quality time with them.
  Cleanliness Drive Taj Sats Air Catering   
The volunteers of Taj Sats Air Catering in Delhi conducted a cleanliness drive to clean up the roadsides and pavements that were littered with plastic, bottles, used caps, gloves, and other garbage. The objective of the drive was clean and sustainable environment for every individual.
  Donation Drive Taj Sats Air Catering   
The volunteers visited the Sri Rakum School for Blind and Slightly Underprivileged in Bangalore. The school caters to the education and development of visually impaired and underprivileged children. The volunteers had the opportunity to interact with the students and the teachers and learn about their experiences. They donated food items, including juices, sandwiches, cookies, and more.
  Visit to Karnataka Welfare Association for the Blind Taj Sats Air Catering   
A group of volunteers from Taj SATS Air Catering Limited, visited the Karnataka Welcome Association for the Blind to distribute grocery items and snacks. They spent time interacting with the residents, listening to their stories and experiences, and sharing their own.
  Engaging with children through various activities Tata Advance System Ltd   
Origami activity - The Volunteers conducted a workshop to train the children on origami skills to improve spatial visualization skills using hands-on learning. Story writing and reading session – Volunteers engaged with children through story reading sessions to develop deeper understanding and promote positive attitude.
Mural Art workshop – Volunteers came together to paint murals in the school walls and create an exciting learning space for children. Books and sports kits – The volunteers distributed educational and sports items to over 150 children from a government school.
Basic amenities for orphans and the elderly – The volunteers came together to hand over basic amenities to an old age home and orphanage. Over all 145 beneficiaries were reached out. Uniform for special Children – The volunteers distribute school uniforms to children with special needs.
  Blood Donation Camp Tata Consulting Engineers Ltd   
The volunteers organized a blood donation camp at PgMC-Puri Office in collaboration with The Odisha Blood bank. A total of 43 units of blood were collected with the efforts of the volunteers, they were also provided with a certificate of appreciation each.
  Reuse and Recycle Plastic waste Tata Consulting Engineers Ltd   
The volunteers organized the activity at the Asian Paint PH 2, Project Mysuru. Karnataka. An awareness session was organised on how to reduce the use of plastic and stop plastic waste generation. Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle methods were explained to the frontline team.
  Financial digital literacy awareness program on UPI Tata Consulting Engineers Ltd   
On Women’s Day, the volunteers conducted a financial & digital literacy awareness program on UPI (Unified Payments Interface) and its uses at the Global Skill Park, Bhopal. The event was exclusively for female staff and nearly 25 staffs attended the program. A presentation was delivered on benefits of UPI in daily life and in e-commerce development.
  Waste collection drive Tata Consulting Engineers Ltd   
A plastic collection drive was organized by the volunteers where they first educated raised awareness on plastic waste and how single use plastic waste harms the environment. The community was educated on ways tp reduce single use plastic waste and replace with cloths and paper bags. The volunteers moved on to collect 45-50 kgs of waste consisting of cement bags, putty bags, plastic packaging, electrical rubber/ insulation waste, foam and other plastic waste. The waste was then sent to a recycling and disposal plant.
  Awareness session on digital gateway Tata Consulting Engineers Ltd   

The volunteers conducted a digital informative session on payment gateway, awareness on online frauds, UPI, EPF, IRCT for the 100 workers from the frontline team at APL Mysuru Project.

  World water day celebrations Tata Consulting Engineers Ltd   
The volunteers conducted a session on water awareness for 150 staff and explained to them the importance of saving water and ways to conserve it.
  Beach cleaning drive Tata Consulting Engineers Ltd   
A cleaning drive was conducted at the Kovalam beach by TCE volunteers of TCS-NTP Project, Chennai. The volunteers created awareness among people to keep the beaches clean and not pollute by throwing plastic and other wastes materials. In total 15 bags of waste was collected, each bag weighing to about 3-5 kgs. The waste was then disposed at proper government disposable site.
  Blood Donation Drive Tata Consulting Engineers Ltd   

A blood donation drive was conducted at the CIDCO Package II Project site office in association with Red Cross Society. 58 units of blood was collected and will be donated to Red Cross Society for a social cause. Of the 58 generous donors 29 donors were from TCE and 29 donors from JV partner and other agencies associated at work site with TCE. 19 of our donors were first time donors.

  Cleanliness Drive Tata Consulting Engineers Ltd   
The volunteers organized a cleanliness drive at Kalindi Kunj Ghat, New Delhi in Association with National Mission For Clean Ganga (NMCG).
  Awareness on Govt. Schemes Tata Motors Ltd   
Awareness sessions was conduct by the TML volunteers to educate the community on benefits of Govt. schemes like Ayushman Bharat, Digital Health Card, Kisan Credit Card, Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, PAN Card and Aadhar Card updation and its usage. ‘Yojana Card’ were distributed to the people, that will inform beneficiaries about eligible Govt. schemes through message notifications.
  Certificate distribution for ‘Kaushalya’ program Tata Motors Ltd   
The volunteers came together to felicitate 100 participants who have undergone training program on making incense sticks, pickles, jam, jelly etc. They received training certificate from volunteers of Tata Motors Limited, Tata Downstream product limited. Also, a cultural program was organized by the Self Help Group members on the eve of International Women’s Day. Family members also joined the event.
  Awareness on Cyber Security Tata Motors Ltd   
The volunteers conducted an awareness session on cyber security for the Govt. Girls High School students. The session was taken by employees from TCS and Tata Technologies based out of the Tata Motors plant.
  Awareness on Financial Literacy Tata Motors Ltd   
An awareness session on financial literacy and digital transaction was conducted for students from the Govt. Girls Inter College, Fazilpur. Total 100 students from class VIII & IX joined the session and learnt making financial transactions safe, secure and transparent, and also the use of UPI apps.
  Plantation drive & environmental awareness Tata Motors Ltd   
The volunteers planted more than 250 lemon and lychee trees along with Self-help Group members. They also conducted awareness sessions with villagers on waste management, renewal energy, no usage of plastic bags. Around 100 women were present during the session.
  Health check-up camp for drivers Tata Motors Ltd   

A health check-up camp was organized at the Sugar production factory where a lot of drivers come on a daily basis. They were tested for blood pressure, diabetes, Hemoglobin, HIV and eye sight followed by free medicine distribution. The volunteers also conducted awareness sessions on health problems. A total of 75 drivers benefitted.

  Education kit distribution Tata Projects Ltd   
Tata Projects volunteers distributed educational kits to students of the Tata Project’s adopted schools – MPPS Pakeertekya, Lingapur & MPPS Ghanpur. A total of 88 students were benefitted through this activity. The TPL Employees motivated the students to continue their education and excel in their academics, and engaged with them through various activities like drawing competition, singing competition, and storytelling.
  Lunch and clothes distribution drive Tata Projects Ltd   
The volunteers visited a home for the disabled and orphans where the team interacted with individuals. Employees donated gently used clothes to the persons with disability and served afternoon meal to them. The volunteers spent time interacting with them and engaging them in activities like dance and music.
  Supporting the visually impaired Tata Teleservices Ltd   

Volunteers from Tata Teleservices (including ex-employees) visited The Blind Relief Association, Delhi and took part in various activities like painting diya, making candles and paper bags/envelopes for them. These items will be sold during the Diwali Mela which will be held in the month of October. The revenue generated through this will be used for funding the activities of BRAD.

  Supporting the visually impaired TRF Limited   
Volunteers came together to spend time with the elderly from an old age home, Ashirwad Bhawan, Baradwari, Jamshepdur. They also donated gifts to the residents on International Women’s Day. Women volunteers performed songs, dances and skit to entertain the elderly.
  Food distribution drive TRF Limited   
The volunteers came together to participate in a food distribution drive at the Leprosy Colony and Hospital. The activity was conducted at the Hind Ashram, Burmamines, Jamshedpur.
  Drawing & quiz competition for kids Voltas Ltd   
The volunteers from Voltas Ltd interacted with the children from Govt. Primary School, Narayanpur, Rudrapur by organizing a drawing and quiz competition. The also motivated the children to focus on their studies and do well.
